Fiona Beal’s murder of her partner Nicholas Billingham has been described as “cold-blooded” by police after the former Northampton primary school teacher was sent down for life today (Thursday). Beal begins her life sentence of a minimum of 20 years, less the time she has spent in remand, after admitting she murdered her partner and buried him in the garden of their Kingsley home.

Fiona Beal - a Northampton primary school teacher - is today (Thursday) starting a life sentence after admitting she murdered her partner and buried him in the garden of their Kingsley home. Beal appeared for sentencing at a two-day hearing at the Old Bailey in London having changed her plea to guilty to murder last month just a few days into the retrial of her case.
